Walter Pytiak grew up the son of a trim carpenter, and worked in construction in one form or another his entire life. He founded his construction company, Walter Pytiak & Company in 1972. In the years following, he built a reputation of honesty, integrity, and quality custom construction. He personally has completed hundreds of custom residential projects, in addition to completing a vast array of commercial construction. Now in 2018, Walter has officially joined forces with his son Mark in creating Pytiak Design Build, to continue the tradition of construction excellence that is synonymous with the Pytiak name in Southeast Michigan.

Mark Pytiak is now the third generation of Pytiak builders. From a very young age, Mark was on job sites with his father, and growing up worked with a number of different trades people. This has given him a unique and in depth perspective on this industry. After graduating from Western Michigan University with a business degree, Mark founded Green Home Energy in 2010. GHE was a DTE Energy and Consumers Energy trade ally and participated in the Home Performance with Energy Star program, retrofitting existing homes and commercial buildings to make them more comfortable and energy efficient. As that business grew and demand for residential construction returned to the market, Mark partnered with his father to form Pytiak Design Build. He has since worked on many award winning additions, renovations, as well as new commercial & residential construction.
